Here is a fun Ribbon Tree Christmas Card the kids can make.
We love making our own cards for all occasions and Christmas is no exception. As well as making a lovely gift, this card is great for practicing fine motor skills and developing language.
– Sheet of thick paper/card
– Curling Ribbon
From your piece of thick paper/card, cut and fold a card and also cut a triangle
Hint: Older kids could do this part on their own
Hint: Talk about the process of wrapping and use descriptive language like over and under
Hint: you can also tape down the ribbon on the back as you go to keep it from slipping
Stick a star at the top of the tree and you’re finished!
Now time to write a message inside. If your child is pre-writing it’s fun to have them dictate a message and you can write it in.
While you are at it, don’t forget to sneak some Christmas reading in! Here is our list of Christmas books for you –
