Kids Craft – Paper Pinwheel with vegetable prints!

by Rashi on August 2, 2010

What you’ll need: White paper, Pencil, Ruler, Scissor, Red & Blue Color,  a star shape (I cut a potato in the shape of a star for this activity), and a fork.

How to make:

1. Measure and mark a 7-inch square on paper. Cut out the square with a scissor.

2. Hold the star shape potatoes with the help  of a fork and dip it in a red and blue colour and print it on a white paper. It’s easy and fun for kids as there are no fixed patterns to follow.

3. Use a ruler to draw diagonal lines across the printed paper to form an “X”.
4. Using a scissor, cut the printed paper along the diagonal line, making sure to stop at marked points.

5. Fold one corner of the paper into center and hold with a finger. Repeat the same step for the remaining corners.

6. Put a paper pin in the center and glue a wooden stick (I used an ice-cream stick) behind the pinwheel.

Hope this works out well with your kids. Do share your experience.
