Expressions, feelings, art and stories

by Maya on July 13, 2010

What do you get when you combine all of them ?
Art. Stories. Feelings and Expressions. Fun?

We will tell you -
You get an emotionally intelligent and creative child.

Emotional intelligence, creativity and exposure to creative activities and art are critical in a young child’s life. Kids missing out on these key aspects rarely get an opportunity to develop these skills as they grow and life gets too busy and changes too fast.

But then, HOW do you get kids to learn about feelings and emotions and have fun with them? How do you take it beyond just “naming an expression”?

It is hard, yes, but WE are in the process of designing a kids’ workshop to do just that!

WE = Memetales and Stickfiggy are joining hands to create these special workshops for children that will involve exploring feelings, learning how to draw, writing stories and even making a book. But, believe me, it is all wrapping up beautifully and Jane (Stickfiggy) and I cannot be more excited!

We will have a LOT more information in the next couple of days, but for now, we can use your help with a name. If you have creative ideas for what we should call our workshop, we’d LOVE to hear them!

Of course, if you or a friend is in the Seattle area, we’d love for you to come! Just leave us a note and we will keep you informed!

Thank you for reading :)
